A digital wall for the classroom
This is an easy to use intuitive tool that encourages the collaboration between teachers and students.Do you think that you have a poor imagination? start using padlet and you will see how your creativity enchances.
The wall you can see below refers to water. It´s a visual way to see the states and the cycle of water. The video is to finish the activity in a playful way.
Hello Jone! Thank you for your great job at such a fantastic padlet! The idea you present is very genuine, although I am not sure if I could use it with my students as they are 4 years old. Probably this amused padlet would be more suitable for the eldest preschoolers. I like the way you organised your blog. Although I am not a very pinky person your blog seems easy and clear to read. Well done!! Alba
ReplyDeleteHi Jone! The song you've posted in your Padlet brings me beautiful good memories of the time when I was teaching English at preschoolers. Anyway...I really like the pictures you've chosen. As Alba, I think some of these concepts may be difficult to understand to preschoolers but I agree they must get in touch with the different names "Condensation", "Evaporation" and with the years they will really learn them. I think it may be useful , working with some experimentation. For example, "What happens with an ice cube if we leave it outside the freezer?" or putting some water in a plate next to the window (better if it's sunny) and make them see that this water disappears. With the evaporation, you can use some plastic film (the one you use for the sandwiches) as well. If you put it covering the plate, with the sun heat he water will evaporate but you'll see the water drops in the plastic film.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to stop, because when I start with the ideas it's a never-ending conversation.
Thanks a lot for sharing these materials!
Very attractive presentation. You can easily visualize the different parts of the multimedia wall and it's theme. Furthermore, I think that the contents are related to the students social context, which helps them to learn and understand. I consider that the display of the content is great, starting by the conceptual framework and ending with an attractive song, which will help the students enhance the previous activities.
ReplyDeleteYou could also use this multimedia wall before doing an experiment related for example with the different states of water, where they can see in the concepts in a experimental environment.
Good job and really helpful.
